What is a Hydrosol?
During the steam distillation process used to produce essential oils, the aromatic steam is condensed back into liquid. The essential oil separates from the water, leaving behind a fragrant floral water known as a hydrosol.
Hydrosols contain tiny amounts of the plant’s beneficial compounds, making them wonderfully gentle for all skin types, including sensitive skin. They offer many of the soothing properties of the plant in a much milder form while contributing a delicate natural aroma.
